We take our time with our patients. We are not a high volume clinic with an overloaded schedule causing patients to wait for extended periods of time to be seen. We realize patients have a choice and because of that we go above and beyond with both our facility and attention to our patient’s needs. On the other hand, we are not for everyone. Clinic Director
Dr. Michael Mountain was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He has been living in San Diego since 1980. Dr. Mountain has always been health and sports oriented. In his twenties, Dr. Mountain ran a very successful martial arts school and competed in many semi-contact competitions. In 1990, Dr. Mountain was both a west coast and national free-fighting champion. That same year he developed a painful condition that would change his life, sciatica.
After conventional medicine failed, he turned to Chiropractic and has been pain free since. It was that experience that created the passion to heal others using effective, conservative healthcare. In 1996, he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West.
Always looking to be most effective and to get the best results for his patients, his education continued.
Dr. Mountain completed a 3-year postdoctoral neurology course through Life Chiropractic College West and successfully passed examinations leading to the certification of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. He also held Board Certification/Diplomate Status in Pain Management through the American Academy of Pain Management.
He is currently the director of the Southern California Spine Center and a full-time clinician specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of various neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, such as low back pain syndromes and neuropathies… his specialties being spinal stenosis and sciatica!
Another turn in life resulted in a change that has affected many patients and has created another area of expertise for Dr. Mountain.
Dr. Mountain lost a family member to the secondary effects of Diabetes. Having felt the painful scar of loss from that situation, he became passionate about helping others with Diabetes.
Dr. Mountain has always searched to further his knowledge as well as to find natural, cutting edge treatment therapies. He took his background in Neurology and balance re-training, and married it to the very best in high tech therapies. As a result he has created one of the only drugless treatment centers available for Peripheral Neuropathy in San Diego.
He is an active member of the Neuropathy Treatment Centers of America and proud to offer San Diegans a treatment that actually provides effective long-standing relief from Peripheral Neuropathy!

She is dedicated to providing the patient with all information and help they may need when it comes to understanding insurance, Personal Injury and Workers Compensation. She is in high demand throughout the healthcare community as a resource to other office managers due to her knowledge and experience. She is the matriarch of the clinic, can take care of all your needs and is the go to person with any questions you may have.
