"I had 3 herniated discs in my lower back. On a scale of 1-10 my pain was an 11-12. I didn't know what else to do besides surgery. When I was about a month away from surgery I heard about the DRX 9000 and decided to give it a try. "I was suffering with severe back pain and a constant burning sensation in my right leg for six months. I had seen chiropractors and tried physical therapy and I was taking Motrin every 3-4 hours. But nothing worked for me. I was miserable, I was unable to sleep, I was irritable at home and work and I gained weight from lack of activity. "I had a herniated disc and had been experiencing severe, disabling pain for six months. I began with acupuncture before knowing exactly what my condition was. When that didn't work, I tried physical therapy and cortisone shots. The shots did ease my pain a little bit, but did nothing long term. I even made a consultation with a Neurosurgeon. I decided that I wasn't ready for something so drastic yet.
I have always been very active. I had been playing league tennis for 19 years. My family would water ski in the summer and snow ski in the winter. While the kids were in school, I would walk my dogs and work out to "Fit TV." Being active was a direct link to happiness.
After my injury, I became a woman that wasn't able to perform a simple task. Instead of waking up with a smile on my face, I would completely break down crying because I couldn't get out of bed. "The DRX 9000 accomplished what two low back surgeries could not!
I had two disc herniations. The orthopedic surgeon told me that surgery was the only answer. As a result I had two low back surgeries…neither was a success. In spite of the surgeries, the herniations caused me to have pain, fatigue, and numbness all the time. I could not walk, participate in daily activities or contribute to the household chores. I had not worked for 10 months and had an overwhelming feeling of uselessness. I went back to the surgeon who suggested a third surgery, this time spinal fusion.
